About Saugatuck Kitchens

Founded in 1998 in Bridgeport, CT by CIA graduates David and Sonia Wells, Saugatuck specializes in frozen hors d’oeuvres that are handmade and delicious. They are created in small batches by chefs, for chefs; starting with the finest and freshest ingredients, professionally trained cooks with restaurant experience fill and shape each morsel by hand. Unusual combinations like Chipotle Beef Blue Corn Empanada, Porcini Risotto Balls and Manchego and Quince Tart abound. Always experimenting with new ideas, the Saugatuck Kitchen chefs consistently expand their line to include innovative riffs on classics like BBQ Pork Spring Rolls, Chicken Parmesan Bake and Paella Bites.  Each freshly- made hors d’oeuvre is egg washed and garnished before freezing which gives them a unique look and flavor. Baldor carries over twenty varieties of Saugatuck handmade hors d’oeuvres.
