Originally grown in Peru, the Aji Rojo is a rare and exotic hot pepper, with a fruity flavor and heat level that's comparable to a mild Habanero. Similar in size and shape to a Ghost pepper, the Aji Rojo is slightly smaller. It's excellent in salsa and good for roasting and stuffing. These are grown organically by Caroline Pam and Tim Wilcox on their small farm in Sunderland, MA, and here within a day of harvest.
