Farmer Martin has been growing specialty produce in Salinas, CA for demanding San Francisco Bay chefs since the early 90's. Just 5 years ago he visited NY and started direct shipment to various restaurants here. Now Baldor is picking up his produce from JFK and distributing it to area chefs who already know and love Martin Farms. His Wild Baby Arugula is greenhouse grown which allows for many cutting of the same plant. The more mature the plant, the richer the flavor. Wild Arugula is always spicy and peppery - Martin's is super-spicy, more like the real southern Italian arugula. Its spiky shape holds dressings longer - even in warm weather.
