The local heroes are running strong this week. Spanish Mackerel, Fluke,
Striped Bass, and all selections of Tuna have been coming in fresh and gorgeous.
We had a beautiful 300# bluefin tuna arrive from
Cape May this morning and she’s ready for your kitchens.
Razor clams have been flying in and out of inventory over the last few weeks. Our local fisheries are bringing in beautiful wild razors and are selling out so quickly. Reach out to your sales rep if you are interested.
Let’s talk Ora King salmon. Have you heard of Tyee Ora King?
The name Tyee means ‘Chief’ in the local language of British Columbia where they were originally found. Tyee weigh over 30 pounds, and have been caught in Campbell River since 1924. Tyee were originally caught from a boat with no motor and a hook with no barb. Our partners at Ora-King have been selectively breeding Tyee salmon for generations. The Tyee is rare among salmon. No less than 30 pounds in imperial weight, your salmon is a giant. It is also known as “the king of king salmon.”
With only 8-10 available at every harvest, the Tyee Ora King is in high demand and sell out fast. Please contact us if you are interested in more details!
Thanks for another great week.
